RMBOK is written by Julian Talbot, Jason Brown and Miles Jakeman, AM. Their experience connects risk management practice, organisational leadership and the development of international standards.

 

Julian Talbot

Julian Talbot’s experience spans operational management, security leadership and risk advice across government and industry. He has served as Head of Security for Austrade, Senior Risk Adviser in the Australian Department of Health, and Security Manager for Woodside’s North West Shelf operations. He co-authored the Security Risk Management Body of Knowledge with Miles Jakeman, published by Wiley in 2009.

 

Jason Brown

Jason Brown chaired ISO/TC 262 during the development of ISO 31000:2018. His experience includes senior roles in the Australian Security Intelligence Organisation and the Australian Defence Department, where he served as Chief Security Officer. His work spans national security, organisational assurance and international risk management standards. He received the Australian Security Medal for Conspicuous Service in 2011.

 

Miles Jakeman, AM

Miles Jakeman co-founded The Citadel Group and served as its Managing Director. He holds doctorates in Asian Studies and Business Leadership, with experience across board leadership, strategy, program management and national security. He co-authored the Security Risk Management Body of Knowledge with Julian Talbot. He was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia for service to business, national security and the community.
